06.04.2025 01:35 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A protest sign on white foam board. In brightly colored paper letters that the poster somehow still has in her basement, it reads “LIBRARIANS FOR SHUSHING DONALD”
In 2011, I carried a “LIBRARIANS FOR SHUSHING SCOTT” sign in Wisconsin’s Act 10 protests. I kept it and, in 2017, I peeled off some letters and changed the name for the Women’s March. I threw away the sign last spring when we cleaned the basement.
I cannot believe I had to remake the damn sign.

Speaking as a Wisconsin voter, this is *intensely* satisfying.
02.04.2025 12:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It'd be nice if we would spend less time on AI and more time on our actual vital missions right now. Especially given, you know, the purposeful dismantling of libraries and education. 📚

Questions are the process, the point, the everything. You ask questions of other people (PEOPLE) who know more than you and/or who are interested in the same problem as you. That’s it. That’s how it all works.
its amazing how chatgpt knows everything about subjects I know nothing about, but is wrong like 40% of the time in things im an expert on. not going to think about this any further
