I honestly think bringing Dana back for S2 was a mistake because her return told the audience that even the most intense level of burnout, trauma, and physical assault (!) won't break our heroes. Sisyphus will always return to roll the rock up the hill. Nothing in S2 has yet challenged this idea.

in S1 the individual patient cases felt meaningful, both bc they were interesting and bc they introduced us to the characterizations of the doctors. In S2, we're spending more time on far less interesting cases, while the character stakes all feel lower, cheaper, and more predictable.
