You are making my point for me. It’s going to take some work. There are tools such as the Goods Unite Us app. If you have a local butcher or slaughterhouse use them if you eat meat. Farmers markets for produce or grow your own garden if possible.

You make a great point here. The Goods Unite Us app has done some of the work to show where they donate politically. I am in a good enough position to buy a half beef from a local butcher each year. Their shop is actually cheaper than Kroger and is far better quality.

This is easier said than done. Far too much consolidation has created the illusion of choice. A lot of research has to be conducted just to buy groceries.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”
