Corp needed my photo processed through AI. The result is a friendly chipmunk much much younger than I am. She was wearing a cheap silver jewelry set which enraged me, but then I found a photo where she was not. I was much more beautiful than her when I was her age. I feel like I'm being erased.

Corp's AI is super-chatty, and writes a suggestion of four lines of stuff for every utterance from the client: Usually kind of "Thank you for saying thank you" stuff that would make me, as a client, angry. I've dipped my toe into accepting it and passing it back to the client.

The example illustrates what I see; people put off a task that's hard, that takes thought, that is creative, and then they "relegate" it to AI. In my work, I give people instructions on how to do very specific tasks. Our AI pretends to write similar instructions but they make up how the app works.

Every day is a Monday for me now at Corp, trying to help the American public despite itself and wrestling with AI and proliferating dialog boxes turning everything into sludge. Corp wants us to use the word "frustrating" repeatedly to gaslight clients into up-SKUing.

From the review in the Guardian. I agree. In particular, Melania's years working in Moscow before she tied up with the Paris-based agency that linked her to Jeffrey Epstein, and then Trump, would make a fabulous and dramatic narrative. But that's all missing.
