Two lovely drops this evening. One from Fierce, a punchy rhubarb flavoured pale and the second from @verdantbrew.bsky.social a hop filled Californian IPA.

Both have good bodies, good flavours, and I'll 100% be recommending and drinking again.

Four Quarters - 0.5% Grapefruit Radler

In my opinion this is exactly how a Radler should taste. Vibrant, bitter grapefruit flavour with little sweetness. Super refreshing, and the style being low ABV, really lends itself to being an AF beer.

Third Time's a Charm - 0.5% West Coast IPA

When you see West Coast in the same line as Elusive you expect good things. Bitter, strong orange zest flavour and pine notes, taste is spot on. It's clear it's AF but I'd happily sup lots of this!

Double Take - 0.5% Dry Stout
Wiper and True x Five Points

This is a straight up Stout, how it should be. Adjunct free, shows off the malt base, English hops, smooth dark roasty and smoky flavour.

If you like traditional dry stouts this is for you, it's superb.

Brewed with "Citra Hyperboost" hop oil this beer has a really punchy tropical flavour. It's light and soft bodied with a zesty finish. Lovely start to the afternoon 🍻

Couldn't agree more. Just tastes right doesn't it! Beauty from Ethiopia this morning, Cup of Excellence 2024 winner. Can't imagine this tastes bad any day of week but so much sweeter on a lazy Sunday!

Hands down the best AF beer I've had so far this year, and in fact ever.

Beak have worked wonders here - I'd be hard pressed to say this was AF if blind tasting. Exceptional body, beautiful flavour, it's just superb. Highly highly recommend.

Giving one of the world's best a go tonight - Sierra Nevada's Trail Pass Golden & IPA.

Prefer the IPA personally but both very good AF beers as expected.

Has anyone else given this a go yet?

Saw loads of adverts so picked up a couple of cans. In my opinion...awful.

For all of the progress made in AF brewing, this is a huge leap backwards. No body, tastes like malty water, just don't get it personally.

Two different beers tonight 🍻

One from AF heroes @mashgang.bsky.social - a proper crispy beer certainly not made for snowy nights but it'll be crushable come BBQ season.

@unbarredbrewery.bsky.social's new core AF Pale Low Key - superb pale but would expect nothing else from the Brighton brewers.

First time back at the pub this year discussing a new set of tasting evenings we'll be running throughout the year.

With a permanent AF line on the bar, it makes this month a lot easier going in! Lovely drop from Bristol Beer Factory.

Lovely body on this, flaked oats working a treat and the combo of Citra, Idaho 7 and Mosaic is a knockout as always.

I've been so surprised with the range. Haven't gone looking for a while mind. Some exciting beers out there if you look for them. Heard good things about the cherry stout - think they have it in my local so probably going to have a can Friday night 🍻

Genuinely cannot wait to get this new series on the road.

An exceptional lager from @donzokobeer.bsky.social, one of the happiest pilsners (AF or otherwise) I've ever drank from @mashgang.bsky.social and a top pale ale from Gravity Well x We Can Be Friends.

Loving this discovery so far!

First of many bold statements I'm sure I'll make this year, and I can't even blame alcohol, but here goes...

Kaleidoscope // Wiper and True // 0.5% Pale Ale

Ahead of the new collab four pack arriving, we picked up a can of Kaleidoscope from Trembling Madness in York.

Pine on the nose, great fruity flavour, and a smooth body. Great head retention right down the glass. Cheers.

Kicked off No/Lo January with Brulo's latest lager "Highway to Hell" weighing in at 0.0% ABV.

A Munich Helles style beer that had the flavour spot on, light mouth feel, grassy, floral aroma and really easy drinking.

Would I order again?
Yes
