Something to consider: generally speaking, most indie devs (especially adventure game devs) work for free. We don’t see a profit until the game comes out and sells.

It's a lighthearted investigation game from talent behind the Golden Idol games, so it's a no-brainer that the demo managed to capture the same magic.

I re-bought a few copies recently from World of Books (bargain!). They are still fun and the illustrations are lovely. I'll call it research and reference😅Going to check out the Adventure books too now.
