How do you start a new creative project?! It's really hard! So I decided to procrastinate and make a video talking about that instead... ๐ช

I was able to find a physical copy too which is such a lovely keepsake.
Video I have ready to go when people pop up and tell my Sherlock Holmes would never become a beekeeper and therefore I have written him entirely out of character:

Determined to find a good news-agents ๐ช but nice to know I have a back-up!
If my information is correct there will be an article mentioning The Beekeeper's Picnic in the Financial Times this weekend!
Err... So, where does one buy the Financial Times?
My local Sainsbury's and M&S don't have the goods. Do I need to ascend to a Waitrose?
Hmm I should really get some promotional stickers for AdventureX, you know, something professional that really shows off the atmosphere and artwork...

anon ask: Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for making a lifelong dream come true with your unofficial continuation of Carmilla. As an avid reader of any additional works I can get my hands on, yours did not disappoint! Long have I wanted a sequel titled Laura (along with a prequel titled Mircalla) and I loved everything about what you created โ not only did you keep to the Gothic tone of the story, but you also touched on the most poignant and vulnerable themes the novella leaves unexplored such as Lauraโs grief and complex feelings about Carmilla. I found your art style to be simply beautiful, and the choice of the black and white color palette with splashes of red was genius. This is definitely one of my favourite works out there and I would without a doubt love to read anything else you might make within the canon should the opportunity ever arise in the future. Thank you again for this visual and visceral delight. answer: Thank you so much for your very kind words!! I wrote Laura to be able to be enjoyed by anyone, but when fellow fans of Carmilla specifically let me know they liked it it means the world to me :') I'm really happy you enjoyed it!
still thinking about this ask I got yesterday. you have to make things for yourself and the random internet stranger who will go crazy for it

I bought it yesterday and I love it so there was no way I was going to let it go! (Also I don't like to litter the canal)
...going to give it a good wash though.
And my hands.
My new pretty fabric shopping bag blew into the canal, and I waited ten minutes for it to slowly float from one side to the other, and then managed to grab it with a big stick.
Success!
Snoozin' ewes.

Apparently they'd completely fill the Royal Albert Hall, including the maximum number of promenaders standing up in the gallery!
