AI companies are doing it to AB test their AI most likely. That and normalize it to kids so they aren't as good at spotting AI. Thus most of YouTube is retroactively looking like AI.

Love wins. Dark art may pour from me. But if there's something to tell you who I am, it is that. May my art be a candle for you in the gloom. He/They

21.11.2025 14:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm not here to say one route is better, but I think for other's who haven't had a similar thought this gives a rather powerful tool to consider how much to tell when you have the chance to tell.
What is said will of course set the tone, and this is the fork in the road. Do you have a bias?
And in this case I have an opportunity to plant tension by letting a catty informant spelling things out which will make a party go from a sandbox of discovery to a rather tense game that may have the people he cares about sell themselves off to the grandest bidder in a demonic nobles game.
19.11.2025 23:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm noticing I have a bias to make EVERYTHING intrigue. The character has to find out absolutely all the details from a hostile world that wants to give them nothing and that likely comes from a background in short stories.
Ironically the need for CONSTANT conflict can make things drag on.

I've come to a rather interesting crossroad in my manuscript and it led to a set of categories for scenes.
Intrigue VS Plant
Intrigue is a scene that has a sense of discovery of the setting and stakes.
Plant is a scene that follows Hitchcock's advice and "shows the bomb."
Shame on me, a cat person, for having a card with a dog, but not a single cat in my whole Oracle deck!
I need to be diligent and make a whole cat themed one to balance the scales.
A cartoon drawing of a fish in water, eating fish flakes that are falling in. An arrow pointing to flakes says "YOUR COMMENTS ON MY LITTLE PICTURES AND STORIES" An arrow pointing to the fish says "GROWING FAT AND HEALTHY" Another arrow pointing to the fish says "ME (ARTIST)"

I should have been more confident...
Cute as heck! Hope the attention does help you grow!
And this is the first thing I've been truly tempted to... is repost the term? Forward? (I'm new to all this.)
Tarot or Oracle cards, some in shrink wrap packaging, others in a flourishing spread.
Story of my life that I'd get my prototypes in hand right before my employer let's me go without a heads up or reason.
Now I have no primary income. And no clear path to promote or launch.
But I do have free time now.
I'd worked at a literary magazine, and we did have tiers of rejection. Sometimes we'd solicit an author for more works because this one didn't fit a theme or have a place in that year's pub. Other times we wanted them to try next year.
But not all submissions.
Was it similar with Pinguin House?
I do love your videos and just looked you up on BlueSky.
This is something I may have needed to hear. Though I do have that fancy pants MFA, but I didn't graduate with any industry connections. (Thanks Covid. ๐ฅฒ)
Any general advice for an artist/writer hybrid who wants to find agents?
I am proud to not use AI for any step of my writing process. Though I have no idea how I can safely get works out or establish myself.
The world has changed since I got my degree.
It's disheartening...
What app are you working in for these killer animations?

But ink sketching could be fun...
Did you have a fun starting point for when you first drafting in ink or were you already good?
I love how you yuck a sketch I'd pin to the wall in pride. XD

The entire Duck Tails song exists in my head and can be played ad nauseam by the child in there who seems to want to prove their survival through the repetition of theme songs that likely drove my parents to divorce.
That expression is so wonderfully done. I love how the lower lip interacts with the top row of teeth.
You got so much characterization out of that smile.
I don't know if it's a habit... more a toxic trait. I can't trust authors to pay off their unspoken promises until the second read. So often I can't enjoy a book fully till the second read.

Tarot/Oracle cards with silhouette art. Three cards shown on a wooden table.
Odd answer from me. But for the last year I've been finishing the Oracle deck from my book/screenplay.
The OG deck was hideous in pastel colors to help with reading at a glance as I used it for that project. The trauma of looking at that old deckmight be why I omitted color entirely...
This I've stayed stubborn on.
I love the turn and sway of the image. How I can read the grasping hand, and the figure of whispered celebration.
What does the consort grasp for. What does the rogue steal, how did both of these once walk the same road?
I've been here before. Done this before.
I'm not hoping really to be discovered this way. My motive this time is less depressing.
Dear reader, I'm showing you I'm a person.
Some nerd quacking into the void. You're probably overwhelmed where I'm quite whelmed here in the silence.
So I post each day. And I collect bots who don't interact with my posts after I wind up on some dashboard for posting.
Then they don't interact with anything I post. And the algo of the rhythm assumes I'm dropping duds and hides my posts.
