Typically, AI shocks me...this week, it was my husband's use of AI.
Every Friday, I ask GenAI how we worked together.
I was shocked when AI insisted that it provided a weather update for Waikiki this week.
Turns out my husband asked it.
π€ Is he planning a vacation?

I'm tired of celebrating schools that attempt AI literacy.
There, I said it.
When did the first step become the finish line?
Stop asking: "How do I add AI to my lesson plan?"
Start asking: "How do I use AI to transform how my students learn?"
We can do better.

People ask how I move people away from AI fear.
One word: diagnosis.
This model (Knoster) helps you spot whatβs missing.
Change doesnβt come from pushing harder. It comes from knowing what people need and offering it with purpose.

I posted this headshot, and people loved it.
Only... it wasnβt me. Not really. It was AI-generated.
Compliments spurred an ethical dilemma, and I told the truth.
That moment? A perfect reminder:
β¨ Transparency builds trust.
β¨ Ethics is about relationships.

Plot Twistβturns out I logged in with the wrong one π€¦ββοΈ Even tech-savvy people can have issues. But I stand by my point.
02.07.2025 16:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I lost access to my AI account today.
π« Did I panic?
π« Was I unable to work?
π« Am I lost without AI?
No.
I can get things done WITH or WITHOUT AI.
That is the point: we must work alongside AI, not offload to it.
For now, enjoy this hand-drawn artwork. Not all of us are artists.

π The first American pope used his first public remarks to talk about AI. Not politics. Not economics. AI.
Pope Leo XIV called it as big as the Industrial Revolution. This isnβt a tech issueβitβs a human one.
Itβs not about fear. Itβs about responsibility.
Time to lead.

The AI stories we are telling are about loss of mind, agency, and connection.
Loss stories are born from fear.
But the good news isβstories can be rewritten.
The future of AI is about the stories we choose to tell, and the ones we choose to believe.
#HumanMonday #AI
It's Friday!!! Every week, I share my favorite use of GenAI.
I love generating images inspired by one color. It keeps the photos cohesive and on brand.
Give #AI the hex code as inspiration.
Quick, cohesive, and surprisingly on point.
Go to LinkedIn to see all my uses for #GenAI this week.
#Ideas
This week was full of highs and lows. I celebrated student graduations and birthdays.
I also lost a dear friend. It is a loss I haven't processed yet.
Reminder: life is short and connection matters most.
Letβs not let AI get between us and our humanity.
#HumanCenteredAI
Every Friday on LinkedIn, I post how I used Generative AI this weekβbut here, I share my favorite.
This week ChatGPTβs memory finally gave me a detailed list of my weekly use. No more digging through chats. Thatβs a win.
And the Jedi Sarah? Thatβs one of my #AI uses.
(Full list on LinkedIn.)
Most resistance to #AI is rooted in fear and misunderstanding.
If youβre not using AI tools, itβs easy to dismiss them as shortcuts that replace thinking.
AI is a shift in how we operate, think, and create, and that can be scary. It challenges our value, identity, and place.

Vulnerability. She named it.
I try to name my fears. But this one?
Why do I fear posting about AI? Why do I hate being on camera?
I couldn't find its root cause until she said it.
#HumanCenteredAI isnβt just about tech. Itβs about being human in public.
To connect, we have to be seen.
On #HumanMonday, I reflect on humans in an #AI world.
I show up on camera because connecting beyond the screen, in a time when AI versions of ourselves exist, matters.
Post-AI humanity will be radical, and connections must be intentional.
Todayβs reflection: intelligence, wisdom, and wonder.
Pondering:
If I give students a bot I built to pre-grade their work β flagging mistakes but not rewriting β and everyone gets an A after revising...
Why does that feel wrong? What fear is underneath?
Theyβd be learning deeper.
Is it assessment vs learning in this AI world?

The future belongs to thinkers, creators, and connectors.
The World Economic Forum says the core skills for 2030 arenβt just technical β theyβre human:
πΉ Analytical thinking
πΉ Creative thinking
πΉ Resilience and agility
πΉ Leadership and influence
πΉ Motivation and self-awareness

I will use the idea, but with a different bot. I definitely see more bots in the fall that are strategically placed. I like the inaccuracies idea. Great use of AI to promote literacy.
27.04.2025 01:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was just a simple bot that was reviewing the 10 major principles of the class. It offered real-world scenarios where they had to apply that knowledge. My dream is a bot that works with each student and reports back to me weekly on their progress and brainstorms ideas to work with them in class.
26.04.2025 21:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Tried something new: my students interact with a bot I coded to spark group discussions.
As they were learning deeply, I felt sad.
The professor is essential as the architect, guide, and safe space. Can we overcome our fear of irrelevance in a new role?
Still thinking... π€

What does it mean to "play both games" in real life?
π rapid iteration, adaptive strategy, leveraging new tools.
πΎ depth, patience, persistence, mastering fundamentals.
The best players know how to switch games and why it matters.
#AI #Education
An AI image of a kid with a tennis racket on a basketball court shocked that a basketball is coming at him.
AI is a NEW game.
Life used to be tennis, but AI is basketball.
The game looks similar: a ball, a net, a court, and rules. But it requires a different approach.
We must teach students to play BOTH games and discern the WHEN and WHY.
Anything less is not our best.

My students want to know how AI will shape their future.
I tell them this:
AI cannot replace you.
Do not be afraid of AI.
Be driven by purpose.
We must remind them to prioritize humanity while leading with AI.
The future belongs to those who show up, adapt, and learn.

An AI illustration of Professor Gibson talking to students on a Zoom call.
Hi! π I'm new here.
On LinkedIn, I share how I use Gen AI every week. This is my favorite one.
I accidentally coded a website. I asked for ideas, and it generated a working website as an example.
Mind. Blown. π€―
AI surprises me every week. Excited to learn and share here.
