Yes, in v. aware, hence saying it’s been getting bad for years. I think the AI integration is just another layer of enshittification. I used to be v. proficient at sourcing data & retrieving info. on old search engines w/ keywords et al.. Seems like even before AI integration that became difficult.

@tomjennings @brouhaha The five things copyright can restrict: copy, distribute, adapt, display, and perform. You could just prohibit all five.

It might not seem like much. But if ANYONE use ANY artist's work to distribute product for profit or not for profit, without the artist's permission, it's stealing.

If you don't have explicit pemission from the artist, you can NOT redistribute their work or you are violating their copyright. "Free" has nothing to do with it. "Credit" has nothing to do with it. You cannot use another person's creation without permission. Peiod.

When I say "unknown reason" I mean that all of the provided reasons by people during and after are just theological excuses for racism. So the official position of the church is "we don't know." But unofficially everyone knows it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Some men essentially said that, yes, and so there was a "priesthood ban" in place until 1978 for an unknown reason. But it is widely considered a mistake by anyone who has any ethics whatsoever. And you will hear people defend it, but they are quickly put in their place.

What Mormon TikToker?

When I volunteered at the library there was a lady who would come in REGULARLY with her 6yo daughter and scream at her because of her book choices. At the library. In public. In the kids section, with all of the other kids. Then the girl would ask us for help, only to get yelled at for bothering us.

Yet ANOTHER book to add to my reading list.
