One way of preventing poverty is to introduce a universal basic income. I see so few people espousing this yet it would give dignity to the poor and be a springboard into meaning full work and engagement in society. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should live in poverty.

The house I live in has large, stainless steel double sinks in the kitchen. I ordered a large, carefully selected stainless steel dish rack from Wayfair to fit inside one of the sinks. To date, I have been sent 6 (!) incorrect racks that don't match the stated measurements of the item.
