Thanks to @hackintimseeley.bsky.social and party for all the warmth and good attention this Indy weekend. I couldn’t put this down today and it reminded me that I picked up the book at issue 3, missed 1&2 and got hooked then. Such talent beyond talent. Pleasure to meet you. Fan for life.

I always want to yell, “I know this author!!!” More importantly, my girls are very pleased that they have read this author. 😀

This @markwaid.bsky.social and Dan Mora scene is so reminiscent of that incredible All-Star Squadron scene in #31 (and a little bit Crisis). #justiceleague

I was drawn-in by the cover, but am staying for the strong everything in the read. So much good #storytelling in this #howl classic by @alisakwitney.bsky.social & @mauricet34.bsky.social from @ahoycomicmags.bsky.social. This may be the surprise of the week.

I am just glad you are on here. For me, that’s enough.

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): ASM 61 is so busy from Joe Kelly & Ed McGuiness that I thought they left off the credits. Still among all the magic, death, and more death was this magic leadership moment where Spidey discovers that he is doing everything and none of it well….

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): sometimes you just need a solid historical read and as always, @dc.com & Geoff Johns dishes it up with this #jsa 9. Whatever decade, these stories operate across the years to make smiles in a true Roy Thomas fashion.

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): #frankenstein 1 from @michaelwalsh.bsky.social @imagecomics.bsky.social @skybound.bsky.social. This story has been told a million times, but not like this. Bravo on a job beyond amazing and into the actual legend of the #story.

Morning read (part 1 of 2 comics): #justiceleague #atomproject 1 from @thatryanparrott.bsky.social & John Ridley with @mikeperkinsart.bsky.social Art. I so appreciate these characters getting @dc.com attention. The Captain alone is a #story worth telling. This team gave that right good fidelity.

Morning read: (part 2 of 2 comics): maybe it’s the classic figures or honesty to them, but #thor 16-18 gave me all the feels. Thanks to the great @al-ewing.bsky.social for moments where Mr. Hyde & Cobra argue like they’ve been renting in a smoke-stale apartment that reeks of burnt salmon patties.

Morning read (part 1 of 2 comics): this character development between #avengers and #xmen was phenomenal. I’ve been looking for this traditional and strong storytelling moment for what feels like centuries. You made my day @jedmackay.bsky.social & @valerioschiti.bsky.social. This is a good comic.

This is good validation for me: who is very much behind in my reading (I’d say I am bordering on 10,000 new and back issues) and like to read & post about them. 😀

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): I was really moved by this #creepshow holiday special by @jamesasmus.bsky.social writing and art by Letizia Cadonici. Good way to close out the season. Package thieves bite (and get bitten).

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): #scarlettwitch & #quicksilver 1 was a fun gem from @thesteveorlando.bsky.social & Lorenzo Tammetta. The writing gets the tapestry of these #twins beyond the usual fuming of QS and appeasing of SW. This was a lot of fun as I get through my stacks delayed by life.

Morning read (part 1 of 2 comics): I am sorry to see this short run end for #captainamerica from @straczynski.bsky.social & Carlos Magno. This one had all the classic Cap feels: something troubling him, morality, big quest, and interaction with a revolving group of friends not just named sidekick.

Those are gorgeous.

This is so me right now at home on semester break. Thanks @straczynski.bsky.social & Carlos Magno for the real in comics and showing characters as they truly would be.

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): #batman 234 by titans Denny O’Neil, Neal Adams, & Dick Giordano. Marks silver age return of #two-face and beyond being collectible, is just the kind of good storytelling that readers enjoy. Precisely why people get hooked. Creative team has passed, not this.

Morning read (part 1 of 2 comics): Iron Man relaunch with @attackerman.bsky.social & Julius Ohta. Best run in some time. Every issue packs a punch in character interaction and (punches). This feels real, and to that we can credit a journalist and good art to boot. The IM franchise needs this #marvel

I am positive there will be many good posts about President Carter. He marched to a different drum than most, making him one of the smartest men to ever occupy the office. I think he cared about something larger than the political end notes or roaring crowd and there is wisdom there beyond our own.

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): couldn’t see any way other than being drawn in by @ekstrom.bsky.social & @marcofod.bsky.social Fog #1 by Sumerian Comics. Hadn’t heard of the movie, but got caught up quickly in this suspense foreshadowing beauty. Late to the game, but will look for more…

Morning read (part 1 of 2 comics): #batman Dark Age Book One. Primo writing by @manruss.bsky.social and the amazing duo of @allredmd.bsky.social @ Laura Allred complete the book. Everything about this book so unique as to make it exquisite. Such a good read, so well done with the art.

Morning read (part 2 of 2 comics): #superman #saturday with this brilliant @joshuawilliamson.bsky.social and Rafa Sandoval #actioncomics 1064. The #superfamily is huge, add in guests to make for a complicated #story. Yet, creative team is painstakingly Perez in making clarity, good story. Plus Lois!
