The ice on our sidewalk is way too thick to break up (at least for me).It’s treacherous. And unless we get a giant and sustained warm up, I don’t see how this gets resolved.

So the city (YEG) finally bladed my neighbourhood. BUT, they put the snow piles over top of the street drains (dunno what they are called). And with the freeze and thaw there is basically a 5ft tall icicle over top of any drainage. The snow on sidewalks melts + has nowhere to go. And freezes
