I see my immune system as an athlete that dives. Like, normally it’s very good at doing stuff that keeps me alive, but the slightest suggestion of an insult and it is lying on the ground clutching its metaphorical knee and screaming. I hope your immune system gets back to normal play soon!

My mom had actual shingles and it was agony AND the medications to treat it made her lose touch with reality. Like. We thought she’d had some kind of serious brain injury or event.

I wonder about this constantly. Tiny houses are so cute! So fun! So fully inflexible for life stages! If you break a leg, have a baby, become disabled, get old, the place you live will no longer fit you. It’s at best temporary youth housing.
