A muscly troll lady from Shadowrun!

Just got a great sketch commission of my #shadowrun troll done by @blacksalander.bsky.social! I’m super happy with it.

She’s 200cm of muscle, but mostly uses it to help her neighbors move furniture. Her real joy is tinkering with and trying to build drones. She’s not very good at it, but she tries.

I know lots of people are going through hard times right now, but we're looking for help for someone incarcerated without a lot of options.

If you know an attorney or prison advocate who may be able to help or advise please contact me or @deviantollam.bsky.social

I'm starting to wonder how much of it is him not even realizing he misspoke to begin with vs. refusing to use the breaks when he does. it just happens too often these days to not be out of his control.

A two panel comic of two reindeer talking to eachother. They are wearing harnesses and jingle bells and are facing eachother. The reindeer on the left says "So I was dashing through the snow" and the second reminder cuts them off by saying "the dasherrrrr" in the second panel, the first reindeer is noticably offput by the comment, looking at the other reindeer who is simply smiling like nothing happened. The library is all red, but behind the reindeer is a simple green texture.

I am once again banging pots and pans and yelling "undocumented workers didn't steal your jobs, employers would rather take advantage of their vulnerable status than pay EITHER OF YOU a living wage"

Even if it were true, "taking jobs from Americans" is not a criminal offense that calls for committing human right abuses against said person and potentially renditioning them to third countries with poor human rights records

"This person is undocumented" does not mean "this person has ZERO rights"

Stop trans scapegoating The only more powerful narrative tool than a villain is a hero.

I wrote about where the US's current wave of transphobia comes from, and how both Mamdani and Spanberger have shown useful ways for politicians to reject it and still win.

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

You know a country by its values. By what a country values. And it turns out that what a country values can change over time. Sometimes, though, there’s a sort of cognitive delay between the country you think you are in, and the country you’ve actually become. For example, you can keep selling yourself, to foreigners, as the country of William Shakespeare and Jane Austen, and luring busloads of tourists to Stratford-upon-Avon and Bath, and put a statue of George Orwell in front of the BBC, and imagine yourself a cultured and literate nation, which the rest of the world admires for its devotion to the written word – but if you then chronically underfund your cultural institutions, and treat your cultural workers with contempt, many people will suspect you of being full of it. And as the decades pass – and fewer and fewer Shakespeares and Austens and Orwells emerge from your little island – even more people will begin to suspect that in truth you do not value culture at all, and are in fact running a giant heritage museum in which the only cultural workers you respect are the dead ones.

Great piece by Zadie Smith. When the right talks about classics or "Western" culture, these works are only important to the extent that it demonstrates their superiority, they have no interest in art in and of itself beyond that www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

A square digital illustration that consists of a drawing of two figures ont he left and a bold strip of text on the right.
It depicts the taking of sacrament, a soft-faced nun in off-white habit is feeding a piece of bread to a more rugged figure, that is kneeling in front of her. They have a straw-coloured hair, dressed in practical but tidy clothing, perhaps their sunday attire, with a couple knives strapped to their hip and boot. They are holding their hands in a prayer, eyes closed and mouth open with the tongue almost touching the nuns fingers as she feeds them the piece of bread. there is a splatter of red down their chin, as if they have previously drank of the communion wine. There is a small crucifix above them.
Ont he right, there is a gothic style large decorative text in muted red/orange reading "Eat of His flesh Drink of His blood" there is more text in the border around the drawing, but much smaller, reading: "Sister Catherine Alden & Nikola Graves", "City of Magoth 1835 England", "Vampire the Masquerade", "Created by @Eyeofthenewt & @Mossborn".

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

The voices of SNAP Recipients have become political pawns. They explained, in their own words, what Trump withholding funds has been like.

New β€” While some states have received SNAP benefits for November and USDA is supposedly pushing through all federal payments soon, that doesn’t erase the psychological terror of the last few weeks.

I spoke with 20+ SNAP recipients in 16 states about preparing for a possible future with no food:
