@cityofvancouver.bsky.social what *is* the City’s tangible, practical, on-the-ground safety plan for tsunami warnings or impacts? Like, do we have signs, sirens, Parks Board patrolling beaches to keep ppl safe etc? Not talking about gov warnings. You’re not winging it, right? RIGHT?

Our Zone isn’t on the list thank gods but we’re close and one and a half blocks away from the water but uphill. All zones except ours have been called tho (we’re green)

IF you’re on the very West Coast of BC, in Hawaii and probably the US coast, THERE HAS BEEN A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE (8.7!!!) in the Bering Sea in Russia and we are all on Tsunami Advisories. My zone is close (tho tucked in in Vancouver) but not listed - but I live a block and a half from the water so EEP
