Past me thought that a Batman roleplaying game sounded rad. Half the pledge came today. Guess I’ve got some reading to do.

I didn’t realise how aggressively Fantasy Flight Games were making Arkham Horror boxes out of print, so I’ve missed any window to purchase the Scarlet Keys Campaign box. From what I can tell, it’s the most divisive one, but still would have liked to get it. #boardgames

Am home with my son for his pupil free school day and he is very excited to learn Slay the Spire board game.

Not many plays this month, but I loved Men Nefer and Civolution. The latter has replaced about 4 other euros for me, some of which I’ve already sold off. #boardgames

It's at home, but I think I got both.

Only thing I realised was that some of the new cards have up to 4 of a colour on them, but I guess coloured dice will work if you choose that build.

Don’t know those, but sounds like a process these companies probably follow for their shading. I just did black paint, flow medium and water.

Gandalf mini dark washed

Some nasty mini, maybe the Witch King, not sure - dark washed.

Aghast at the price of adding shaded minis to some pledges, I whipped up a dark wash in 20 seconds and tried it out on my War of the Ring minis. Looks fine to me. (I’ll paint these with colour - just wanted to prove to myself)

It’s so heavy! I’ve got the premium chips ordered for this campaign and as I took it back to the shelf I seriously reconsidered if it’s a good decision.

At least nothing is exclusive and all is available direct from them after.
