Have you tried any of the other weight tools? The weight slider allows you to select one or more vertices and adjust the influence from the bones. I usually use it to clean up any unwanted bone references for the vertices.

So what makes it cumbersome to work with?

Anything we could do to ease the learning curve?
Aseprite Importer 1.2.2 is now available!
This version updates the way the Tile Palette is being laid out in Unity. It is now 1:1 with the Tile Layer inside of Aseprite, giving it a much better overview of the tiles.

Unity 6.1 is currently in beta, and with it comes a new Aseprite Importer version (1.2.0) which comes with some new feature, such as:
- A new import mode to import tile data
- New options to the animation events
Big thanks to
@soupmasters.bsky.social for testing and validating the version!
Aseprite Importer 1.1.8 (for Unity) is now live, it contains two fixes; one to improve the stability of the animation preview in the inspector, and one to take z-index into account when creating merged frames.

Did you know that you can create tile sets in #Aseprite 1.3 and newer? Here's a quick guide of how you go about it!
#pixelart #gamedev
Version 1.1.7 - Fixed an issue where adding Sprite Bones would cause the Sprites to become corrupt in the importation. (DANB-779) - Fixed an issue where the position rect would not get updated after being set in the Sprite Editor. - Fixed an issue where the references to sprites would be lost when adding new layers to an Aseprite file. (DANB-782) - Fixed an issue where the default compression would be set to "Normal Quality" instead of the expected "Uncompressed".
Aseprite Importer 1.1.7 (for Unity) is now live! ๐ฅณ
Thank you all for sending in feedback and bug reports so that we can keep improving on the importer.
