- Count the amount of people you want to hire and multiply by 3.
- Submit that number.
- C Level & Finance will auto cut any headcount number to 1/3.
- You will get exactly what you need. ๐

"Why do you need to start from scratch? Just build on top of the prototype; we have to move fast!!!!!" and then they get aggro when the prototype tech debt starts to create problems. ๐

This happens so incredibly often, but you rarely hear about it in public. The amount of institutional knowledge that is readily walked out the door, with a severance package in hand, is incredible.
Which is why you also sometimes hear of folks being re-hired as contractors. A very expensive mistake
