Just got back from a Labor Day celebration. I love being with the people who value the hard work that it takes to make West Virginia home. The coal miners and Union members of West Virginia are still some of the best people you could ever be around.

Our citizens need protection and our Bad idea factory loves to dismantle protective regulations. The continual pollution of our state for sake of profit must stop. We deserve better!

Public education needs our immediate and sustained attention. Centralizing control is not the answer, but equalizing the quality is.
Yeah. You know if you saw someone with my hat you'd be jealous! Grandpas around the globe be getting jealous, but it worked at keeping me from getting melted by the heat so there's that.

I often comment about the size of my district being vast and daunting, but on a positive note it has provided me with an opportunity to meet wonderful, like minded, and caring people from every corner of it. WV still has some of the nicest people you can meet!
