OTT9 sails a free slot shot high. And Erie buries the empty netter 5 seconds after a timeout. Great hustle from Erie98 to put the dagger. And one more for good measure. That’s game.

Harmless floater from OTT8 almost finds net from a deflection. Good reaction from ErieG. Ott18 showed some good poise finding a gap to handle the puck through, wasted that with a muffin shot on goal. Well into the 3rd and down 1, not the kinda plays you want to make. Could really use 34 right now…

Erie makes it 2-1 off a broken play. Lucky bounce gets it right to Erie72, shot on net is stopped but the rebound by Erie91 is not. OTT needs to dig deep and start taking some chances. OTT20 tries to get his legs going but is hounded by Erie17 into his own corner. I lol’d.

Bad shot attempt by OTT22 almost ends up as a breakaway for erie33 just off by a step. OTT PP is playing really slow ERIE97+ 98 kill off a good chunk of it with some hard. OTT eventually catches a good chance but ErieG all over it. Does end up with Erie17 sprung on a breakaway. He’s stopped.

3rd period starting slow like the second. Erie90 kinda all over the place tonight. Erie77 makes a .. choice to carry the puck down low. Not replicated by the 33-98-17 line who find another good play, this time by going low to high. Good play by OTT28 to catch ERIE2 asleep at the point.

What a move by OTT23? to very intentionally (not) pull back the puck to make 2 Erie players crash into each other. Shame he didn’t just shoot that after. OTT spends most of the rest of the period in the OZ but a great 2-1 by ERIE98 and 33 almost net a high danger chance, not enough time to finish.

Game goes really back and forth for no reason all of a sudden. First Erie33 gets a look thanks to an OTTd’s blown tire, and play goes right back to give OTT one of their best chances of the night before I could even look up to see who it was.

Gets the puck on his stick and travels slowly into the zone. Easy pickings for OTT who has wanted a counterattack for the last 35 minutes. OTT19 draws the penalty as he bursts through Erie33. Doesn’t take long for OTT20 to cash in.

OTT transition game getting killed before it can even start. Erie98 been given free rein in the left side. OTT finally gets a (broken) transition done leads to their best chance of the night. Good work by OTT27 and 20 there. Little lazy shift from Erie17 here, doesn’t really finish his check

Erie2 gets a turnover and boos rain but another good look thanks to some quick passing. OTT gets a counterattack, OTT19 waits too long to shoot, low danger. Erie kind of meandering in the OTT zone even after turning the puck over is earning them some crazy second chances.

Fancy back pass by Erie86 gets a decent look but his linemates overpass leading to a weak shot. Think that was Erie98? who tried the Michigan. Ya didn’t get too far. OTT9 finally has a good chance but he totally blows his pass back. Total disaster ensues. OTTG misplays the puck and it gets behind :(

Erie2 bobbles a pass and is chased down, falls, (good non call) but manages to move the puck up anyway. Great hold at the line by Erie72 wasted as he skates into OTT20. OTT9 finds a good seam. Decent chance. Erie90 has had the puck in good spots a few times but seems to get lost looking for options

Really good awareness from OTT19 to gravitate to his pairing mate after he bobbled a pass. Could’ve been dicey with the seconds left on the PP and the man out the box. Game seems notably slower but Erie17 still finds a good shot. Good job by OTT9 to hold his ground on ERIE77?No self pass there.

OTT23 almost took a defencemen into the spin cycle on this entry. Erie72 with a bad crosscheck on a board battle sends OTT back to the PP. Erie really playing nasty today. Kinda sad that the best chance this PP was a look for Erie33.

Erie97 tries to show his hands on the entry but gets stood up. Lots of perimeter shots and tough battling on this PP, no avail. Erie2 stretches for a hit but it’s dodged, OTT gets a free entry as a result. Good looks but not much to work with as Erie recovers

Ottawas entries not looking very clean. Erie17 finds a good pass in motion to 77 hits iron. One more cycle and again Erie is not playing odd, lots of early contact uncalled, but it’s OTT26 going to the box for a hook. Crowd unpleased

Erie9 and 77 almost combine for a goal, cross ice again… good job by Erie17 to draw attention, opening that play up. Erie2 needs to watch his points of contact. Hes clearly playing with a chip on his shoulder. Couple of clean passes end up with a high danger chance and ErieG sprawling. Getting there

Erie looking really discombobulated. Big patches of ice unguarded. D playing a little too close together. Ottawa’s not stretching the ice to punish it.

Bad way to start a 5v3 but the 67s turn play around enough. Ott18 had a wide cage if he collected the rebound cleanly. OTT23 gets a good shimmy shake into a shot

Horrible hit to the numbers by erie2. Ekberg hits the boards hard. Trainers out. Looked pretty bad, immediate result from the Ottawa bench who are jawing at the Otters. Crowd unpleased. Tempted to join them.

Very good look for Erie17 again on a cross crease. 67s need to hunker down there. Puck goes through OTT10 a few times but Erie unable to breakout gets caught. Erie8 to the box in a tie up soon after.

Erie2 showcasing some nimbleness early. Erie10 takes a tumble and gives up on a back check he probably could’ve dawged through if he wanted too. OTT8 makes a great pass that should’ve resulted in an entry. Lots of open ice out there from the 67s if the puck movement gets any crisper.

Great offensive shift from Erie17. Found a good cross lane pass.

Forgot my trusty hand pad so I’m just gonna drop my notes on the Otters/67s game here. Should be fun.
