Lost:

- Texas Prop 15 which codified 'parental rights' and will make it easier to restrict birth control, etc

Repro wins so far:

- Virginia protected its status as the last abortion access haven in the South

- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court retained the three Democratic justices needed to protect abortion

- New Jersey elected a Dem governor (vital as one of the few states w/zero abortion restrictions)

If they had won he would’ve taken all the credit.

They urge Maryland leaders, including Governor Wes Moore and the General Assembly, to show courage and act decisively to protect fair representation and counter GOP map-rigging.

The Indivisible Maryland Coalition urges immediate action on redistricting to counter Republican-led gerrymandering in other states. They call on Governor Wes Moore to convene a special legislative session and for the General Assembly to assert Maryland’s authority to protect fair representation. They emphasize that Senate President Bill Ferguson can still reverse course by supporting mid-decade redistricting rather than maintaining inaction. The coalition calls on Maryland residents to pressure Ferguson and their legislators to back a special session, arguing that delay until 2026 would forfeit a key chance for Democrats to defend democracy nationwide. The statement concludes that Ferguson must stop blocking his own party and take a stand for democracy — Marylanders deserve leadership and action.
