Have had some incredible luck lately with short fiction/new-to-me authors (bless the library). I read The Cold House by @angelaslatter.bsky.social in one sitting last night. Fantastic writing, and holy hell, did NOT see that ending coming!

Finished the audiobook of Come Knocking by @mikebockoven.bsky.social last night. Hoping my muscles start to relax at some point. This book just never lets up! It was intense, claustrophobic, and panic-inducing. And I could NOT stop listening! Highly recommend!

Best part of the library - stumbling across books you may never discovered otherwise!

Grabbed this little gem from the library over the weekend because my older sister is named Jenny, so it seemed appropriate. Holy hell, what a fun, nasty little story by @paperbacksandpugs.bsky.social. Freaking LOVED it ❤️ Do yourself a favor and read this!

One thing that is true in this age of "AI" is that authenticity is going to be prized more than ever before. A single hand-scrawled sign is going have more impact than the smoothest "AI" image because the people seeing it knows it comes from someone's brain, not a tuned algorithm.

Libraries are places of pure magic.

Just finished King of Ashes by @blacktopkid.bsky.social and I need to meditate, do yoga, or take a gummie. Maybe all three? The last 100 pages were such a blur of audible WTFs and holy shits, my dog bailed off the couch and ran into the bedroom. BRB, going to read everything he’s ever written.
