I don't think Robert Jenrick realises that the people clapping along to him when he talks about Handsworth would clap along if he said the same about Stamford Hill. I'd hope that would give him pause for thought.

Stamford Hill exists and co-exists because Handsworth exists and co-exists. Stamford Hill is only safe if Handsworth is safe too.

That's trouble with being against pluralism, diversity and difference. You never quite know where it ends.

We really need the @greenparty.org.uk to do well. The news today is awful more crackdown on protest. More restrictions on immigration that will do even more social and economic damage to our country. Higher energy bills. If it wasn't for the Green Party, I'd be lost in despair.

Listening to another authoritarian Labour Minister, Home Secretary, I ask whether the mood music of Labour is taking us down a road in which I am hearing echoes of the National Front (I'm 72): deportations, villifying immigrants etc etc, the Tories are as bad; we are losing our civil liberties. 😢

I feel if it is called off then some people might start to link the protests with anti semitism. 🤔 I don't agree with chant 'from the river to the sea' whether it is said by Palestinians or Israelis

@mrjamesob.bsky.social we all today shed tears on the death of innocent 😢 folk. I shed tears for dead Jewish people and Muslim people in Gaza. Solidarity with Jews and Muslims as humans. A proper two state solution is needed but a pity we cannot live together without organised religion in the way
