Dissemblance in either or combination of these also play a contributing role to many chronic dis-eases!

As much as we focus on dis-ease, why do we not focus on research on true health/vitality/wellbeing also including Nutrition (nourishment from whole and/or plant foods), Movement (body and breath)🏃🏻‍♀️, Connection (nature, others and Self) and Rest (sleep, meditation)?🧘‍♀️. Much science pointing to these!

Semaglutide effects on energy balance are mediated by Adcyap1+ neurons in the dorsal vagal complex Teixidor-Deulofeu et al. demonstrate that AP/NTS Adcyap1+ neurons are essential for semaglutide-induced weight loss in lean and DIO mice. These neurons promote loss of fat over lean mass and modestly affect semaglutide-induced CTA. Semaglutide-activated NTS Adcyap1+ neurons are engaged via AP GLP-1R and drive downstream satiety-related, rather than aversion-related, structures.

Hippocampal ensembles regulate circuit-induced relapse of extinguished fear Molecular Psychiatry - Hippocampal ensembles regulate circuit-induced relapse of extinguished fear

🚨New paper alert! 🚨 Inactivation of the nucleus reuniens causes relapse of extinguished fear. Here we show this “circuit-induced relapse” depends on hippocampal fear memories and is mediated by hippocampal engrams. Congrats to the team!

Just published our study on brain-heart interactions and COVID-19. We found that brain-heart interactions at the ICU onset indexes mortality risk and acute encephalopathy duration. We also found that maladaptive dynamics are associated with acute cognitive impairment 👾

Aren’t mental and physical health bi-directionally connected and in a continuum at every level of nutrition, environment, energy, movement, rest, stressors etc? Why is there an arbitrary boundary between mental and physical health? 🤔 #brainbody
