One thing about me that drives people crazy is that I play every simulation game at regular speed.

I do take a few shortcuts, these days, but my "time to beat" hours are always waaay off from the average, which always makes me feel like people aren't experiencing the game; just going through it.

A-Train, as the game is commonly known, is actually a well-liked and long-standing series that still releases games to this day. They did, however, sober up their box art considerably to be more in line with the management sim vibe

Language apps are so weird. This is literally the first Korean word Duolingo teaches, which makes sense since it's so basic. It's like a hundred lessons deep in Airlearn, along with banana (바나나) 🤷

Fun fact: the video games part of Yanoman was actually their side business. Their true calling is jigsaw puzzles, which they still produce in many aspects today, as well as board games. They, unfortunately, do not ship internationally.

Here's the gameplay for Body Special 264, so you can see it in motion. It feels a little disorienting tbh. You do get some cute introductory messages from the models.

The box art is a little more fortnight with their intentions. Only 3 names, as there are only 3 models, none of with appear in Japanese porn either for once, as the game doesn't even come with the notorious 18+ rating. It's pretty mild stuff.

On the other hand, Yanoman also is a big fan of, umm, scintillating puzzles. Here's a Japanese magazine advertisement for Body Special 264 on Sega Saturn, wrapped in a summery cylinder.

The difference here is that the puzzles are really videos, which move as you piece them together.

The Game Boy stuff hasn't gotten a translation yet anyway, so I guess it's not worth getting as excited about. There are SNES translations though.

I was just preparing a Yanoman thing before my house flooded :) here's a magazine advertisement for Aretha.

The series has 3 Game Boy games, as well as 3 SNES variants. The main GB ones are cute RPGs whose differentiation is that they have a little hint system; a novelty at the time.
