I have been making moose bone broth for almost a week straight!! Some of my students went hunting last weekend, and they got two young moose - they know I love making soup, so they gave me FIVE MASSIVE BONES on Monday 🤯 it’s been nonstop since then…I’m at 17L and still have two bones to go!

And that I can’t escape them when I’m trying to disassociate while binge watching something 😭🤬

I’m so pissed. I have adored him for years and I just don’t understand this, other than the fact that we live in a capitalist hellscape and everything sucks.

Two one litre glass jars, one full of bone broth, the other full of soup with broth and vegetables.

I spent the last 48 making *the* most incredible bone broth and soup from fresh moose bones that my work friend hunted on Sunday. I cannot even with the grounding, soul-filling experience of creating food like this. And it was DELICIOUS- easily the best soup I’ve ever eaten, let alone made 😍

I adore my job and I’m excited to see my students…but January always feels more stressful than September.

I swear the Sunday scaries after Christmas break are a million times worse for high school teachers. We’re staring down final exams in two weeks, still have content to teach, and January always comes with cold weather bus cancelations…not to mention students begging mercy on late work 🙃

Celiac and tree nut allergy in a 4 month span last year…I miss freely eating whatever I wanted to, especially when I was sad and wanted comfort food :(

I really had to step back and curate my news sources on all my social media accounts last year. It was really affecting me, especially after the US election. I know I’m exercising my privilege, but I have my own trauma to manage first.
