I can’t explain it, but that place seeped into my bones. Lucky to travel all over and I get attached to places, but I’ve never been able to shake Iceland. I think that’s part of our shared fascination of Arctic peoples/places…surviving, thriving, and the natural world is so immediate and stunning.

A great follow is @ kyanasue on IG. She’s an American living in Iceland and shares travel vlogs across the country and tips for traveling there. Lots of adventure and the reality of living near the arctic circle. I was there 2 years ago and have wanted to go back every day of my life since.

During a leap year, a 13th month is added to the usual 12 month cycle. That added month is called Adar I, which comes before Adar II. Adar II is simply called Adar in a 12 month year.

The Jewish/Hebrew calendar is lunisolar (months are lunar but years are solar), which requires a periodic adjustment, like Leap Day, but it’s a whole “leap month”! That’s why Jewish holidays fluctuate on the Gregorian calendar.

Yes. Here in Wisconsin. Madison. 3 fatal. One teacher, one student, the shooter who was also a student there. 😔 Others shot and in the hospital.
