Also, usually the heaven side is incompetent, corrupt, or otherwise useless. Which makes sense narratively; there's more drama and thus way more stories about devils tormenting people than angels saving them.

I was going to get into it but didn't: this falls into a long line of "heaven and hell fighting a secret war on earth" stories. (SPAWN, sadly, probably did it better; which feels damning...)

But it feels like in those, traditionally the heaven side isn't necessarily 'good,' either.

Enh, that might make sense: even for a superhero, Hawkeye's gotta have great arms, he probably never had to like develop any game.

I love this panel, but it has bugged me for years! John is about half a head taller than Steve, and Steve is about half a head taller than Bucky. But somehow, between scale creep and reuse, their action figures are all pretty much the same height.

That reminded me really hard of Sega's OUTLANDER; I don't know why exactly.

Anyway, up early. Did some overtime until I got bored, will do more later, have to drive my kid and go to the bank.

All of which sounds miserable; I assure you it's not as bad as all that. Maybe.
