Jacqui Smith defending Keir Starmer

The fact that Smith can say Starmer is committed to tackling violence against women & girls after giving the friend of convicted paedophile a top govt job underlines her own political & moral bankruptcy. What people have to do for a peerage.

Labour is Hydra at the minute. Cut off all the heads and start again.

How come their understanding of free speech always boils down to 'I want to be able to talk shit about vulnerable members of society that I don't like'. You're not defending free speech, Graham, you're trying to ring-fence hate speech.

People fail to understand just how much of an impact Landlords are having on house prices and housebuilding all across the world.

Every renter renting for 10 years is another house that isn't built.

And the 'value' of your house is just how much they can rip people of for.

Didn't get round to doing hourly comics this year. Some good stuff coming to BSky. Go find @rachaelsmith.bsky.social 's Nap Comix.

Here's another favourite spread of mine from our Ancient Rome book coming out this week. @rikworth.bsky.social writes pages like this he knows I'll get a kick out of drawing.

Starmer's brave tactic of doing and saying absolutely nothing about all this needs to be commended. A lesser PM would have fired McSweeney, launched an investigation and taken charge, like some kind of leader. Instead, the PM has cleverly figured that hiding might build a timely air of mystique.

People say McSweeny is useful because he’s been, undoubtably, effective at crushing the labour left.
But that’s a bit like saying a general that shoots his own troops (who are well in range and not expecting it) but can’t defeat the opposing force is a master strategist.

I have told a few MPs this. I genuinely feel a lot of adults hate the existence and needs of young people. Then they act surprised/bewildered that these kids are anxious/depressed.

I've just ordered speaking in pictures. Will take a look at Who Understands too. I'm sure they will be highly valuable. :)

I'd really like to see this. Would that be ok?

Normative is a really useful term here.

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Where are your ontology and epistemology?"

YES! When a piece is entirely embodied. It's just mind to hand. It's something special. :)

07.02.2026 17:07 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly. Clean artists who still make something look alive are great. But I guess I want to feel what the artist felt the second they put pen to paper. And if that means messy and sketchy, so be it. :)

I love it! It's a very cool style. And it's alive. Cleaned up drawings always feel a little less alive.
