Yeah depending on who is writing and how the world building works in their version, that can definitely come across in a way I do not vibe with in the slightest, but it's so different for every writer and even every fic that not all of them are as intense in that specific regard

Ngl when it comes to bedsheets it would be SO nice to have a dryer, but running them here is excruciatingly expensive when energy bills are already unaffordable and a lot of houses/flats just don't have space! But we do have a heated drying rack which is the best thing ever (and kinder to clothes!)
