The whale at the Natural History Museum in Fribourg stranded in Le Havre on October 11, 1852. The dead animal was embalmed, stuffed, and then sent on a long journey: on a spacious wagon with a tent roof, pulled by six horses, the whale was displayed at fairs. In 1881, it arrived in Fribourg.
