I've never really related to those memes about authors wringing their hands together when they kill off a character. I'm a lot more of a "no tears in the writer, no tears in the reader" kind of guy. I know I can't be alone in this.

Bloom and Guillotine, both very attractive books, are pictured against some background crap that nearly gave Delilah indigestion because it is very hard to bring together a pink and red book and a black and beige book in a way that makes any aesthetic sense. Delilah eventually gave up, decided it was good enough, and went back for more coffee. You know writers mostly have to make their own graphics, right?
