A year after applying, our client has been given further leave to remain.
She's a mother of 2 British kids who live with her. This would always be approved.
If the govt takes a year to process this, they are overworked. Last thing they should do is put more people on longer settlement routes.

This is what is often missed, harsher immigration policies lead to more homelessness. Labour's reduction of the move on period for refugees, extending visa routes etc etc will cause more homelessness. It's an inevitable outcome, which then feeds the far right narrative of migrants being a "burden".

Labour must recognise the link between homelessness and immigration Homelessness will remain a prevalent issue in the UK as long as the government fails to recognise the link between it and immigration laws.
