Obviously her name isn't FFXIV lore friendly, so I wave it off as "her mom was a weird botanist" and she chose her own surname to distance herself from her family

In ARR, she'd sound very strongly from the Azim Steppe with a hint of Othard. Her accent and dialect gradually becomes more generally Eozean with borrowed words from the places she travels to. Her old accent comes out more when tired/angry or talking with her brother

Wyst has one canon retainer: her younger brother, Adesmian. It's her way of keeping him close, but not in the line of fire. He's learning espionage and survival skills from Thancred; gleaning information from other retainers.
Her other retainer is me as a viera lmao.

It tends to amplify her prior mood - usually it makes her social and tactile, but she can also go quiet and lost in her thoughts.
There's also the rare "both" mood where she's high energy, low self preservation. Thancred is often an accomplice to those episodes

I headcanon that Xaela are typically taller than Raen - her extra height is from being mixed. I think I need to change up her design a bit to make that more obvious.

I can't remember what height tallest femra is, but she's a little taller: 5' 9"

Thancred was a non-starter; the crush reveal came out during down-time drinks. Aymeric.. I think there was a bit of mutual pining, but the poor man is married to Ishgard (plus previously mentioned "everyone near me is doomed" fear)

Main ship now is Estinien! And even that's a bit dubious post Endwalker lol. Wyst has a whole complex about being a danger to those around her; she thought he was strong enough in spite of that. Still working out the dynamics, truth be told!

First Thancred, then Aymeric lmao. As I figured out more of her character, they made less sense. I've kept them as minor crushes that she got over before anything happened.
