This seems like the easiest PR opportunity for local police that I can remember. Get out there and tell your community your job is to protect them, and if masked goons without warrants are snatching people in the community, they will be arrested.

I used to run the internship program at Entrepreneur magazine. We had a writing test for candidates. I would immediately reject applicants who misspelled entrepreneur. I called each one who took the test and was always surprised by the hubris when some would try and argue.

We are not in a war. Killing soldiers on a street corner in D.C. is an act of war only if you are a legitimate combatant. Calling it terrorism is charitable; it is simply murder. It is also what I've been worried about for weeks. Soldiers on the street can't police. All they do is present a target.
