If Marcus lends Blake the money for his rent, then it’s only a short-term fix — he then owes Marcus the money and the next month’s rent. They have to fix the problem somehow.

Apparently the last Scrivener file I had open was Blake and Marcus's story. I was just going through the notes page and found this:

Huh. I wasn't expecting Haunted Hotel to actually be funny, but it's surprisingly good. It just feels like there's no point in getting attached to Netflix animations, because I really enjoyed Dead End: Paranormal Park too, and they axed that after two seasons.

I think the 'marine biologist' bit is down to the notes I've made about Blake's sister, but she doesn't dabble in the occult at all (and the notes were mostly about her meeting a frustrated Alex who couldn't explain one of her octopuses was actually a shapeshifter).

I'm wearing a new one for the weather in the UK and I write about it so I can get a little watering from the rain and the sun is out of the last few weeks of the day job involves having to listen to the radio last night and then I can only disappoint you to the best of times I know you are a marine biologist who dabbles in the occult of the world and you can always tell when Duolingo buggered around with the lesson structure and the rest of the world in general and you can see its faintly belligerent pose for a walk along the path from the post about last night and the other behind the scenes of the world in general.

I'm not doing Novmemeber, but I was curious about my phone's predictive text. And.. that's certainly a run-on sentence, so that's on-brand. 🤣

Costume Inspiration - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Gustopher and Douglas are meeting up to go Trick-or-Treating. Gustopher sees that Douglas has decided to go as the classic ghost for Halloween. Various spooky things are happening in a house in the background. There are two mysterious figures on the second floor with a spider above them. Panel 2 Douglas poses in his costume. It's just a simple sheet with eye and arm holes cut out but it's effective. I'd give it four out of five rocks. Douglas explains his inspiration for the costume. Douglas: I decided to be a ghost. It represents my fear of never truly being seen and my hope to be remembered. Panel 3 Gustopher stands in his own costume. He is wearing the same taco costume he wore last year. He begins to contemplate his inspiration for such a costume. Thankfully, the house behind him does not have anything too spooky in it.
