Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders. After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. πŸ‘‡

My ACA current plan is going from $385/mo to $821/mo.

Even if the Senate voted to extend ACA subsidies, the GOP-controlled House is unlikely to allow a vote on them.

And there's of course no guarantee that Trump would even go along with a deal.

The cruel irony is that this will end up hurting Republican states the most.

They are going to absolutely EXHAUST their partisans again "fighting" in December for ACA subsidies that Johnson has basically already said are dead cuz he won't bring them up for a vote. MEANWHILE you are supposed to trust these MFing Democratic Senators to do what, exactly???? MESSAGE WELL, LOL

10.11.2025 21:14 β€” πŸ‘ 317    πŸ” 47    πŸ’¬ 5    πŸ“Œ 1

And all of them involve rate hikes of 2-300% and make the prices unaffordable.
These people are a joke.

You voted yes for a senate vote that won’t pass and a promise about jobs that are protected by federal laws already, while ignoring the fact that without these subsidies ACA rates will increase by 200% and literally cost lives. There is time for you to reverse this. Vote no in the future.

10.11.2025 21:18 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And yet you voted for cloture yesterday, for the promise of a senate vote that won’t pass on the ACA subsidies and a promise to return jobs slashed during the shutdown that are legally protected anyway.
People’s healthcare costs are going to skyrocket 200%. This will cost lives. Lives > jobs.

BREAKING:

A whistleblower tells House Judiciary Democrats that convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell is in the process of seeking a commutation of her 20-year prison sentence from Donald Trump. tinyurl.com/582addcc

Jobs that are cut during the shutdown can’t be permanently cut, and you know this. They’re protected.
On the other hand, our insurance rising by 200% for families is real, and is going to lead to families not being able to afford health insurance. This will cost people their lives.

This isn’t a deal. It’s a betrayal.

Gen Z won’t forget which Democrats made a big show of β€œstanding up for healthcare” only to sell us out at their earliest convenience.

Voters of Tomorrow in a uproar

Jesus Christ, @kaine.senate.gov, getting a pinky promise to hold one single vote on ACA funding is not "a path toward fixing the health care mess" anymore than a lottery ticket is a "path toward fixing my personal finances"

They're treating Trump illegally firing federal employees like it's leverage, not a criminal act.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Yes, this is hard. Yes, it’s painful. Yes, it’s a pain in the patootey. But, saying β€œno” now makes it that much harder for him to erode more right and more healthcare coverage later.
So grow a spine, woman up, and hold out for measurable, concrete positive outcomes. Not stuff he already has to do.

10.11.2025 01:50 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Every time you give in to him when we *could* win makes it that much harder to regain this ground later, when we have to regain a sense of normalcy and decency.

10.11.2025 01:50 β€” πŸ‘ 10    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Hold the line. Vote NO.
The problem with this is the same problem everyone has when dealing with T: you can win against him but he makes the cost so high that it seems easier to cave and deal with him later.
That’s the wrong way to look at this.

Not seen a single House D or potential 2028 D support this. They must be the D's who want a future.

@schumer.senate.gov if you compromise this 40 days for the possibility of a senate vote next month that isn’t going to pass and has no teeth, you’re selling out your constituents and all of the people who went to the polls this past Tuesday and gave you a clear direction. Hold the line.

10.11.2025 01:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

We expect you to hold the line and vote no, for the same reason we don’t actually believe Lucy is going to let Charlie Brown kick the football. A vote for a senate vote from these people isn’t enough; it has to have more protections.

He had better hope it passes when they "get" to vote on it then, otherwise this is a $1000-$2000 tax increase on Americans. Maybe they should phrase it that was to Republicans since they think all taxes are bad. I can swing $200-$300 a month. $1400-$1600 is what I'm looking at in CA w/o subsidies.

10.11.2025 01:14 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Do you believe that Charlie Brown is really going to kick the football this time, finally?
You’re so effing spineless. You’re an embarrassment, and so are your colleagues who vote for this.

10.11.2025 01:19 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

10.11.2025 00:53 β€” πŸ‘ 4759    πŸ” 843    πŸ’¬ 115    πŸ“Œ 157

@democrats.senate.gov HOLD THE LINE. The suffering people have already been through will be for nothing if you cave now, especially if you don’t get anything for it.
We will primary and vote out all of you cowards who couldn’t stand up even after last Tuesday’s results clearly say we want you to.

09.11.2025 21:30 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

@schumer.senate.gov hold the effing line. Hold the line.
This shutdown and all the suffering people have been through will
Be for nothing if you don’t fight.
And, if you don’t hold the line, we’ll primary you and oust you as soon as humanly possible.

HOLD THE LINE.
Last night was a clear message that folding and conceding, especially when it involves skyrocketing insurance costs, is unacceptable. Hold the line, or we will make sure you answer for it when we vote next year.
