My late uncle, built the mechanical double mouth for the alien. I saw it on his workshop at Shepperton studios as a kid. It was so scary, even as a piece of mechanics. It put me off seeing the film for a good 20 years.

A one legged father Christmas figure. Made from crepe paper and a face cut from an old Christmas card. Datyes from the early 1930's. The plastic fir tree it holding. Came from a cracker and was added sometime in the 70's The children my grandmother was nanny too. Gave it to her after Christmas in the early 1930's.

On the tree every year is this hademade father Christmas.
My maternal grandmother was nanny to the local doctors children. They made this in the early 30's from crepe paper and a face cut from a card. Originally there was a sleigh and reindeer too. Only this figure now remains minus a leg
