I do not know any knitters, except my mom who would refuse to make them for me. (Boomers.)
Would you - or anyone following - be willing to make these on commission for me?
So I texted my mom and she immediately texted back "The Nightingale" by @kristin-hannah.bsky.social. ππ

The next prompt in @popsugar.com's 2025 #bookchallenge was "A book that fills your favorite prompt from the 2015 PS Reading Challenge". I took a look at that list and was intrigued by "A book your mom loved".ππ
11.02.2025 14:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm a bit behind in updating, but I did finish "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" by @stephenking.bsky.social for @popsugar.com's 2025 #bookchallenge. Honestly, it wasn't that much different from the film, but still an enjoyable read. ππ

I enjoyed Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as I enjoyed all Dragon Age games. Can't we just appreciate it?

Readers who search for happy endings with appreciate this book, but that's not what I was looking for after the first. ππ
05.02.2025 14:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This was more about memories the character had of situations earlier in her life which the reader hopes will end up in a murder, and then don't, and then the story, and the character's life, is wrapped up with a neat little bow. ππ
05.02.2025 14:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I read "An Elderly Lady is Up To No Good" earlier this year and I was really looking forward to "An Elderly Lady Must Not Be Crossed". Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this one as much as the first. The first was full of chaotic silly murder, which was exactly what I was looking for. ππ
05.02.2025 14:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yesterday I started - and finished - prompt "Read a book under 250 pages" for @popsugar.com 's 2025 #bookchallenge, "An Elderly Lady Must Not Be Crossed" by Helene Tursten. 149 pages. ππ

This book was like a 101 class on "tactics cults use", and if you've spent any time watching any documentaries on cults from Jonestown to LuLaRoe, you already know what's in this book, and you can probably skip it. ππ
05.02.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0(though I still question whether these are still done? Are they done on both the corporate and warehouse sides, or just one or the other? What about their games and movies divisions, are they done there?), most of the content in this book I already knew. ππ
05.02.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm a fan of Amanda's podcast "Sounds Like a Cult" as well as just cult content (documentaries, stories) in general, so I assumed I'd get a lot out of Amanda Montell's book. Unfortunately, I did not. I learned a few things, like about Amazon's loyalty pledges... ππ
05.02.2025 14:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Finished "Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism" for @popsugar.com 's 2025 #bookchallenge. Prompt: Read a book about a cult. ππ

04.02.2025 19:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm a huge fan of the #artofbluesky tag. I need to see more people using it. This community's art and creativity helps to keep me grounded and less panicky in today's times. Is there anyone out there that can make this tag a feed? I'm not exactly sure how to do it.

I listened to the whole episode expecting Stewart to point this out after the interview, and he did not. Disappointing.
03.02.2025 16:04 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This episode really bothered me. Christie complained about DEI while actively bragging about implementing it in his own offices. When asked for examples of when DEI was just hiring without merit, he gave 0 and dodged the question. Repeatedly.
