I'm glad to see the shift away from this in the TTRPG hobby. D&D itself has adopted "species" in its latest edition, and Pathfinder switched to "ancestry" a couple years prior.

Don't wanna be all annoying about this. But being able to bathe and not have my health completely fall apart is for real kinda important to me. :/ It's wild times and most of the formal support I get is on hold or in limbo or just wildly underfunded/unstaffed right now. This is my lifeline. 🙏💖

This is absolutely Mamdani's not-so-secret secret power: he knows who he is and what he believes and he wants to help ALL of us. So you can't trip him up with a trick question; you can't get a fake note out of him. BECAUSE HE HAS NOTHING TO HIDE AND HE'S DONE THE READING AND HE'S HERE FOR US.

I really like this idea and I think I'm gonna steal it for my next campaign or one-shot. Even just the idea of starting in medias res and panning around the scene for an iconic shot of what everyone's doing has a lot of juice.
