The number of people dying in ICE custody is unprecedented. 11 people died between January and June 2025 — the highest death toll for that period in any year of ICE’s publicly available records. For context, 26 people died in ICE custody over the entire four years of the Biden administration. This trend is alarming and unconscionable.
