Caught the 4K restoration of #WongKarWaiโ€™s In the Mood for Love #่Šฑๆจฃๅนด่ฏ at Torontoโ€™s oldest independent cinema, the Fox Theatre (est. 1914)! Recently, I also wrote two encyclopedia entries on #LiuYichangโ€™s #ๅЉไปฅ้ฌฏ fiction, The Drunkard and โ€œIntersection,โ€ which inspired this filmโ€™s haunting beauty.

One leisurely Sunday, Kwong amused herself with the idea of buying a new outfit for her companyโ€™s upcoming movie premiere. Inspired by the red flags dotted around the city streets, she thought about getting a red shirt and skirt with yellow polka dots, but she found it difficult to imagine being wrapped in a flag. โ€œWhy not decide after the movie,โ€ I suggested, giving her more time to think.
