Caught the 4K restoration of #WongKarWai’s In the Mood for Love #花樣年華 at Toronto’s oldest independent cinema, the Fox Theatre (est. 1914)! Recently, I also wrote two encyclopedia entries on #LiuYichang’s #劉以鬯 fiction, The Drunkard and “Intersection,” which inspired this film’s haunting beauty.

Last winter after a talk at UofT, an audience who shared the difficulty of finding community said, “but you’re here now; I don’t feel alone anymore.” I remain grateful to that heartfelt comment. It warms my heart to think that I’ll be (re)joining UofT next year & reconnecting with this community
