realizing that I've lived in a number of places with names that automatically linguistically indicate if you're a local: colorado, louisville (CO), des moines, sacramento. but i pronounce all of them like a local! i am a dialectal (and dialectical) mystery!!

Another vote for Scratch/Scratch Jr! I was obsessed with it as a kid in its early days. It was developed by MIT Media Lab so the educational philosophy behind its structure is top notch.
