What's up blue Sky? I still use X but I am transitioning to Linkedin as it brings in actual clients.

I like blue sky but the app is painfully slow and there isn’t enough people on it. I am even more pessimistic about its chances with Threads.

Friend told me about Kanopy and I can't stop watching. I now got it hooked up to my TV. Did you know lots of people get free access via their library cards. This is fantastic.

So much stuff blooming yesterday! I haven't hiked up in the Headlands in a few weeks after doing so a bunch this spring. It's neat to see how the plant landscape changes with the seasons; lots of these weren't out a few months ago!

What is public and what is private on Bluesky? Bluesky is a public social network. Posts and likes are public. Blocks are public. Mutes are private, but mutelists are public lists. Your mutelist subscriptions are private. Invites and invite trees are private. Why are my posts, likes, and blocks public? The AT Protocol, which Bluesky is built on, is designed to support public conversations. To make public conversations portable across all sorts of platforms, your data is stored in data repositories that anyone can view. This means that regardless of which server you choose to join, you’ll still be able to see posts across the whole network, and if you choose to change servers, you can easily take all of your data with you. This is what causes the user experience of Bluesky, a federated protocol, to be similar to all the other social media apps you have used before.

Immigration Bluesky community are you out there?

So how do you all like Bluesky? I still use twitter a lot but wondering if it’s time for me to reset and resettle?

My family had an apple II plus in the basement. First computer I ever used regularly was a 386.

Still on the bird app as well but this seems like it might work out as Twitter is fading. I don’t think I need to try Mastodon.

I haven’t seen a a law subculture yet. I am fairly active on Twitter immigration law but I haven’t encountered fellow practitioners here.

For the week I have been on it the whole thing seemed remarkably cordial and friendly. May a little bit tech centered but still free of the toxicity of Twitter until now. Oh well.

Todays sunset at Fort Funston with my daughter. She loved it. Great bonding experience.

I used to be anti spandex- kinda believed that cycling should be accessible( still do) to all but after buying some Rapha bibs and a jersey I do see the appeal. It just works and is comfy.
