Saying, "Nobody will help you," just comes off as a "rugged individualism" style of doomerism to me. Encouraging community and mutual aid might be the better message.

Yeah, "writing off red states" is kinda what got us here.

Isn't the point to inspire people to act? To show that somebody is doing something? Sitting on social media and telling people that you're not here to help them is kind of the opposite of that.

Gonna be honest with you: Anonymous kinda feels like a bunch of windbags. I get some good article shares and such from various Anonymous accounts, but not sure what you all actually do. Weren't you supposed to be a hacking collective, at one time? Is that done?

I gave a seminar at GAMA this past spring (and will be doing it again in February) on why retailers should carry indie RPGs. Got a great response, which gives some hope. But emphasized that a big part is just making weird stuff accessible.

As a retailer, I have to say: retailers have to up their game, too. Gamers will ABSOLUTELY dig into messy indie zines and the like if the people who sell them games educate them. But too many fall into the WotC trap and fail the gaming community as a result.
