i don’t know if it’s kid gloves, just the people aspect of the science enterprise

yeah i know. you know what they say about progress being made with every funeral. people hold on to experiences that form their core selves. i think it’s just human psychology.

How can it not be personal? People put their whole selves into the work. Intentions aside, using the word pseudoscience is not distinguishable to many people from challenging their identities as scientists. That’s the biggest trouble here.
