1st play of @25thcentury.games turn on Knizia’s iconic auction #boardgame, and it holds up tremendously. Cunning and suspenseful, every part of the narrow system contributes to a significantly greater whole.

I’ve got the old version and it’s one of my favourites. Do you know if they’ve changed the rules at all, or just upgraded art and components?

Race for the Galaxy, Ra, Stone Age, 6 Nimmt, Kingdomino, 7 Wonders, 7 Wonders Duel, No Thanks, Carcassonne and King of Tokyo in no particular order. Have played all of them over 50 times and excluding 7WD and Stone Age all over 100.

I feel that! The marketing hat in particular is very uncomfortable, rubs painfully and makes me look like a chump!

What a day. Put my back out in the morning. And then on a 45 min deployment that lasted 4 hours after work :(

If only! Work, trip out at lunch, work and then trip to town with 2 8-year olds! At least there’s Games Night at the end of it! Will be taking it easy for sure and resting/gently stretch my back.

Yeah, had a sudden spasm of pain right at the base of my spine. Doesn’t hurt any more, but it is definitely Not Right™️ so I’m being very careful :(

Nothing says ‘Welcome to middle age’ quite like injuring your back j loading the dishwasher. I will be moving very gingerly today…

A lot less tactile than Stomp the Plank, but a similar push your luck vibe. The triangle deck (and some knowledge of what’s already come out) makes for some exciting choices. I really like it.

15+ years old, but still VERY relevent — and if we had acted 15 years ago, the “better world” we’d be creating would be a LOT better & easier to reach. There are real consequences we’re just starting to see to not heeding this cartoon a lot sooner.

We use couriers rather than Royal Mail, so we’ve been able to ship all along, but with tariffs at the other end.
