As a lifelong fan of #Toronto, #baseball and #sports in general, I've never seen nor experienced anything as tragic & crushing than what happened to the #BlueJays in the #WorldSeries.
This article by @barryp.bsky.social describes how I feel right now, and will likely be feeling for quite some time.
Lets check the scorecard and see how the President of Peace is doing?
- Didn't end the war in Ukraine in 1 day (must've meant months)
- Took a year only to get a failed ceasefire in Gaza
- Bombs "drug" boats w/ no proof, evidence, or due process
- and, Resumes testing of nuclear weapons π¨π±

Its quite sad that that dystopian novel 1984 becomes more prophetic with each passing day.
Now more than ever, we need #Orwell to remind us of totalitarian dangers, which is why I was pleased to hear about this documentary released today.
The blatant #hypocrisy just never ends.
There would be full blown outrage if this was Obama or Biden.
Yet they get away with it because their base falls into 1 of 2 categories:
A. They don't understand.
B. They don't care.
The history books won't be so forgiving .. assuming democracy survives.
