We kicked Iraq out of Kuwait at the behest of the Kuwaitis, whom Iraq had invaded (which is bad). We fought in Korea at the behest of the Koreans and, as in Iraq, the United Nations for same. South Vietnam was being attacked by VC and PAVN, and I never see people condemn the USSR’s hand in that war.

The thing I hate about tankies is the hypocritical inconsistency between their true and stated ideology.

They will yell at you all day about how imperialism is bad when America does it but never breathe a sour word about, say, Iraq invading Kuwait and America liberating them.

Their entire ideology is “America is bad” but they try to dress it up in fancy jargon and twist themselves into pretzels in order to make it consistent.

I can condemn the genocide of native peoples and the Banana Wars. I can also say the Holodomor was bad. It’s not hard.
